The Age of Sorcery

The Age of Dreams ended with the rise of the Three Who Would Serve and the forging of the Painblade. It was a time of great sorrow and suffering. The dead rose from the grave to torment the living. Demons from a hundred thousand hells poured into the mortal realm, bringing death and destruction with them. An invisible, unknown, chaotic energy floated across the land, corrupting everything it touched.

The grand cities and mighty nations of the past lie in ruins, and the mortal races have been nearly eradicated. Life itself is barely surviving, and love, hope, and peace are distant memories.
