The Kucheri were the first people created by the gods. Designed to be the guardians and custodians of the natural world, they were meant to serve as a bridge between the animal kingdom and the other sentient ancestries. Their ability to shift between animal and humanoid form is a reflection of this divine mandate.
Above all else, Kucheri value freedom and independence. Although they live in a tribal society and respect their elders and wise ones, their laws are few and far between. Each individual Kucheri is more likely to be found living alone than with others.
Kucheri are found throughout Erdael, but their home is in the dark Ashyr forest, extending South into the Nahuatl jungle.
