Runt is the fiercely loyal friend and protector of the healer known as Sophia. Very little is known about him, even by his closest companions. Sophia rescued him from a slaver’s gladiatorial arena, and he has been by her side ever since. At over seven feet tall, his name is a bit of a joke to his companions, but by his own standards, he truly is the runt of the litter, being a good foot shorter than his siblings. Although he does not speak, Runt communicates through grunts, snarls, howls, and growls that signify his thoughts and emotions. In this way, his friends have come to know him as a trusted ally and companion.
